We’re looking for a Technical Director – Electrical to join our Water group. In Western Australia, our Water Business has a long-standing relationship with the Water sector and we strive to understand and deliver on our clients' needs. The team works on a wide variety of projects including water designs for water authorities, as well as supporting projects for the broader national team. Responsibilities Provision of technical advice on electrical power systems to internal and external water infrastructure clients Design leadership and technical review of HV and LV electrical designs typically including earthing systems, harmonic analysis, arc flash, load flow studies and solar design up to 1 MVA Preparation of major electrical equipment procurement packages including vendor liaison and vendor data review Being accountable for engineering deliverables on a wide range of water related study and design projects Coordination of the work of team members to deliver creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients Overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members Maintain and grow client business relationships by fostering a culture of service delivery excellence Requirements Degree qualified with 15 years experience in an industrial or utility environment Experience within the Water and Wastewater industry and knowledge of local client standards A high level of electrical power systems design experience with an emphasis on HV and LV distribution, motors, motor starting, protection systems, earthing and underground cable installations Proven technical leadership and solid experience in winning work Proven ability to build positive relationships both across our business and externally Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution Able to manage competing priorities and delight our clients Our Pledge Join GHD Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Working with an experienced team on challenging and interesting local projects Access to professional development and multi-disciplinary opportunities offered by a leading global consultancy Interested?
