We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Automation, VMware technologies, and backup solutions. This role will focus on the optimization of virtualized systems, infrastructure automation, identity, containerization, cloud migrations, and ensuring data integrity through advanced backup and disaster recovery tools. As an integral part of our IT team, you will design, implement, and manage VMware v Cloud Director, v Realize Automation, Ansible, VMware Saltstack, and Backup solutions to support mission-critical infrastructure design and build projects. Key Responsibilities : Virtualization : Build and configuration of VMware v Cloud Director, v Realize Automation, VMware NSX, and VMware v Sphere environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Must have prior experience on v Realize Automation. Backup & Recovery : Cohesity Backup system build and configuration, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Must have experience on Cohesity Backup Solutions. Automation : Automate system tasks and VM provisioning using Ansible, VMware v Realize Automation. Configuration Management : Automate configuration management using VMware Saltstack. Security : Implement security best practices, including system patches and user access management. Documentation : Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, backup processes, and disaster recovery procedures. Network and System Optimization : Research, analyze, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity, and usage to maintain network integrity and performance. Assess and recommend improvements to network operations, integrated systems, and network hardware and software. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience in on-premises to Cloud Migration and landing zone creation. Required Skills & Qualifications :10+ years of systems engineer experience. Expertise in VMware v Sphere, v Cloud Director, v Realize Automation. Experience with Cohesity Backup or similar backup solutions. Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux/Unix systems. Strong scripting skills in Power Shell, Yaml, or Python. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, DHCP). Demonstrated ability to design and evaluate complex system architectures. Experience with disaster recovery planning and cloud integrations (e.g., AWS, Azure). Preferred Qualifications and certifications : VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP, VCP-NV). CCNA / CCNP. Familiarity with Ansible, Saltstack, v RA, or similar automation tools. Certifications are preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate. Summary of role requirements : Flexible hours available. More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role. Work visa can be provided for this role. Expected start date for role: 07 January 2025. Expected salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year.
