Technical Sales Engineer
Melbourne - Contract Role - 3 days a week

The Role

Our client, a global leader in software and services for the retail and hospitality industries, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support its Sales Engineering team across the ANZ region.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will work closely with sales engineers to deliver compelling technical solutions, support presales activities, and maintain demonstration environments that showcase client's cutting-edge software platforms and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the Sales Engineering team to translate customer needs into technical solutions
• Builds and maintains software demo environments for client presentations
• Supports proofs-of-concept and technical aspects of sales proposals
• Maintains strong technical knowledge across multiple products and platforms

Skills/Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a software /technical role
• Strong understanding of MACH architecture, cloud platforms (GCP/Azure), Kubernetes Docker, and related technologies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Languages/Tools: Golang Microservices, JIRA/GIT Workflow; Git Hub Actions; Docker; Kubernetes; Google Cloud Platform; Azure, Operating Systems: Linux; Windows
