As our new Fire and Life Safety Tunnel Engineer, you will be a vital part of our Ground & Underground Engineering Team. Below are some of the things you will do in bringing ideas to life! Your role will include
Assist with the planning, design and implementation of road tunnels, rail tunnels, surface and Provides discipline specific engineering expertise in feasibility and constructability reviews.
Optimises engineering designs from a feasibility, and practicability perspective
Enhances technical designs for safe, sustainable engineering and compliance
Assist Aurecon’s Road and rail transport operator clients minimise operating costs by taking into consideration the changing use of a tunnel and recent developments in fire engineering and tunnel ventilation.
Manages a team of engineers and other technical professionals and ensures efficient business operations.
Participates in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and complex coordination
Understands client’s business outcomes when problem solving

As well as experience in a Fire and Life Safety Tunnel Engineer role. Specifically
Demonstrated technical expertise in the field of fire safety engineering
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in supporting a team and client management
Chartership and affiliations relevant to fire safety engineering would be advantageous
