Job Description - Senior Project Engineer – Civil & Mechanical (263908)The purpose of the Tas Water Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to ensure the cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for Tas Water, meeting the needs of the business, stakeholders, and Tasmanian communities. The CDO manages the Tas Water Capital Works Program from inception to completion, including planning, design, procurement, and delivery phases. We are seeking individuals to contribute to the development and delivery of our Selfs Point Sewer Transformation Project in Tasmania. This project encompasses four interconnected projects: Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade, near New Town Bay Decommissioning of the existing Macquarie Point Sewage Treatment Plant The existing Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant was built in 1972 to support wastewater treatment for Hobart’s suburbs, currently treating about nine megalitres daily, equivalent to approximately 110,000 baths. About the Role UGL is looking for a Senior Civil or Mechanical Project Engineer to work within the Mechanical team on the Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade. This is a permanent position based in Hobart. What a Typical Day Looks Like Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure construction meets technical, quality, and customer requirements Assist the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with documentation under the CDO/UGL Management System Oversee survey of installations, review and accept results, and coordinate actions Work with the Project Manager and team to keep the project on schedule Serve as a technical contact for subcontractors and suppliers Collaborate with design and detailing teams as needed Provide engineering advice to subcontractors and suppliers Assist in preparing monthly reports and participate in meetings We encourage applications even if you do not meet all the listed qualifications; all will be considered.
