Bring your understanding of the construction industry and passion for mental health to a role that truly makes a difference. As a Field Officer with MATES in Construction, you'll be out on-site across Sunshine Coast (and surrounding areas) delivering suicide prevention and mental health awareness programs to the construction workforce.
Through training, site visits, and one on one support, you'll create space for real conversations and provide pathways for workers to access help when they need it most. Duties and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing sites, tailoring your approach to suit individual needs and providing information about the MATES program
Coordinate and schedule site visits and training sessions across South East Queensland
Provide direct support to construction workers doing it tough, connecting them with the right services and resources
Encourage sites to become active and grow to MATES in Construction accreditation and involvements with all programs
Keep accurate records and contribute to reporting and data collection
Assist with broader community engagement activities to grow the reach and impact of the MATES program Skills and Experience required A background in construction (or a similar field) and a strong ability to relate to the people who work in it
A genuine interest in mental health, suicide prevention, and making a difference
Excellent people and communication skill - you are easily approachable, a good listener, and confident presenting to groups
A collaborative, team first mindset, but also able to work independently and manage your time
You are flexible in the way you work and can adapt to changing situations

Salary of + 12% superannuation
