About The Role
As a Senior Networks Consultant, your role is to deliver high-quality technical networking projects for our customers, within scope, budget, and on time. You should be able to think quickly, identify risks to schedules, and actively minimize uncertainties. Experience with Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Fortinet, or Palo Alto technologies is required.
Preference will be given to Australian Citizens eligible for Australian Government Security Clearance or candidates with current Baseline or NV1 clearance.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Network Consultant, you will:
- Develop your professional expertise across a range of applicable technologies to certification
- Build constructive internal and external relationships
- Adhere to company and client policies and procedures
- Work on properly scoped projects approved by clients
- Design solutions based on project requirements
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of networking-focused experience in IT
- Advanced understanding of building, designing, supporting, and diagnosing networks
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Vendor certifications in two or more technologies, preferably Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto, or comparable at a Professional level or higher
- Knowledge of Zscaler, SD-WAN, ACI, Cisco Wireless, Load Balancer, and Cloud Networking is an advantage
- Experience in client-facing roles within an MSP environment
In addition, you should be a motivated, self-reliant, technically proficient engineer and a strong team player capable of working autonomously. Effective communication at all levels within Datacom and with clients is essential.
