Description Experienced GIS Specialist or Analyst who has 3 + years of experience working with the Esri Arc GIS software product. In this position, you will help develop new high-quality spatial layers and maps in Esri Arc GIS adhering to the organisation's data management and data integrity practices. You will also support the enablement of modern Arc GIS solutions via the development of templates, provision of maps, sites, field data capture apps and creation of online spatial experiences.• Design enterprise level GIS solutions leveraging the visualisation and analysis capabilities of the Arc GIS Platform• Implement GIS industry's and vendor's best practices and recommendations• Spatial data integration and modelling• Building and maintaining GIS databases• Creating and maintaining process automation related to data maintenance Essential Experience / Skills:• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Science, Maths, or a relevant field• Strong experience (5+ years) in the Esri stack (including Arc GIS Enterprise) and how this interacts with other common GIS software from architecture perspective (e.g. FME Server).• Extensive knowledge of data management / database design in SQL or similar environments• Experience of developing ETL (Extract Transform Load) procedures, using Arc GIS suite.• Expertise in data validation / comparison / cleaning / manipulation / loading / integrity / quality control• Python development skills – ETL process automation; automation of data from webservices and APIs – HTTP / REST; development of applications• Knowledge of GIS Software - ESRI Arc GIS including Arc Map, Arc Py, Arc GIS Online, QGIS and Open-source geospatial libraries• Development in version control environment e.g. GIT• Experience in AWS or Azure cloud services.• Ability to plan, manage and deliver projects.• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to identify issues, troubleshoot, & recommend and implement solutions.
