We are on the hunt for a Group Sales Manager based in Sydney to join our growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that delivers outstanding Out of Home advertising solutions for our clients. Our advertising space is different from the standard, which is what makes this role even more exciting! Part of the revenue derived from our advertising clients will go towards powering free electric vehicle charging for all Australians. If that sounds like something you want to get behind, read on!
Key responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end media sales process from identifying target clients to implementation and review.
Grow market share and revenue across the client base
Ability to use data to formulate a cohesive narrative while storytelling in an effective and concise manner especially on sales materials
Understand digital advertising and programmatic trends in order to identify opportunities and strategic growth areas for our business
Develop an extensive external industry network
Identify and pursue relevant sales opportunities with media agencies and direct clients, in line with agreed revenue targets.
Work with the product team internally to provide tailored solutions that effectively meet our clients’ needs.
Develop and present proposed sales opportunities internally and pitch to prospective clients.
Own and deliver on an agreed revenue pipeline
Build up our relationships with media agencies and direct clients corporations
Negotiate deal terms and contracts with clients that deliver favourable commercial outcomes for both parties.
Create materials that showcase success stories and integrate them into future pitch decks.
Refine sales strategy based on success and ultimately develop a team to support
About you
Bachelor's degree (ideally in media or a related field) or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in Advertising, Digital, and/or Media Sales
Established industry relationships and experience working with senior business and marketing leaders.
Strong understanding and experience in performance-based media organisations
Excellent interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills - you will be engaging with existing and prospective clients on a daily basis.
Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement, hustle and a demonstrated history of success
Success in developing and managing sales strategies that balance revenue growth with retention
Strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape and media sales processes.
A passion for green energy and the electrification of transport.
A point about working autonomously or remotely - ability to stay focused and own the market.
Preferred qualifications:
Specific Agency experience working across a variety of Media Agencies in this market
Proven success achieving revenue targets
Strong sales skills with a solution-based approach
Proven commitment to driving exceptional quality of work and customer experience
Previous experience at a large media agency, extra points for Out of Home advertising experience
Experience in research tools such as Similar Web, Neilsen, Quantium.
Experience in how OOH advertising complements and interacts with other components of a typical marketing suite
Strong communication and presentation skills
