Applicants will be expected to have a strong clinical background, in addition to experience in research, teaching, quality assurance and administration/management in a public hospital. The Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist clinical anaesthesia services including trauma, paediatric surgery, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular and obstetrics specialities. We also provide an Acute Pain Service and Perioperative Medicine service. The Role Provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to patients and their families. Actively pursue performance improvements in Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine by involvement in clinical support roles. Actively pursue improved outcomes for patients by participating in teaching and research relevant to anaesthesia. Permanent and Fixed term (up to 3 years), day work (with on-call), working a minimum of 38 hours per fortnight. Full time appointments are preferred. Commencing September 2024. Minimum Requirements: Holds specialist registration; or Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
