Anyinginyi Health consists of four different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.

There is a supermarket similar to a large IGA store, Post Office, clothing and furniture stores, Pharmacy, Newsagent, two banks (ANZ & Westpac), restaurants and coffee shops and four hotels/motels.

It also has sporting facilities (e.g.

swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis court, football ground, car racing track), and several tourists attractions within easy reach Like our Beautiful Lake Mary Ann!   About the Role   The Public Health Administration Officer will be responsible for providing high level administrative and secretariat duties for the Public Health Section, assistance is also required with specific projects within Public Health and other community-based assistance.

  In the course of duty the Administration Officer will be exposed to highly confidential and sensitive information , and so requires a highly professional code of ethics and commitment to the maintenance of confidentiality.

  More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to): Admin Duties: Provide high level Administration assistance to the Public Health Section as required.

Provide high level Administrative services for any other reception areas if required as directed by the General Schedule and update appointment calendars, meetings and make cancellations as directed by the Executive Manager Public Health.

Take minutes at meetings, type minutes, seek approval from the Executive Manager Public Health before distribution.

Prepare an action item list from all meetings and undertake actions as delegated by the Executive Manager Public Health.

Reception duties Organise and arrange meetings for client, external, senior management and team meetings as directed by the Executive Manager Public Health.

Book accommodation and travel and make all other necessary arrangements for business trips and conference meetings as directed by the Executive Manager Public Health.

Prepare correspondence Maintain and create filing systems as direct or appropriate.

Maintain the Team Calendar as required.

Message taking comprising of obtaining the caller's name, organisation, return phone number and the nature of the call.

Perform or participate in other duties appropriate to the position or the section as directed.                                                                            Community-Based Assistance: Assistance with general team health promotion activities as required; To work within specific Public Health projects To assist with health promotion in specific projects as required; To assist with the development of community links for specific projects as required   About you   To be successful in this role, you must be of  Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent  as this is  an Aboriginal Identified Position and you must maintain Respect for Traditional Culture and cultural diversity and acquire the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse working environment.

Previous experience or qualifications within Administration will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.

The Administration Officer requires a current NT Driver's License to be successful in their application.
